Sumo Chaya Terao, a chankonabe hot pot specialty restaurant
located just 2 minutes' walk from Ryogoku Station's West Exit,
was opened by the eldest of the "Three Izutsu Brothers,"
who were active in Japan's national sport of sumo wrestling.
Chankonabe is a type of Japanese hot pot that is traditionally eaten by sumo wrestlers.
Our restaurant replicates the flavors of chankonabe hot pots that were actually eaten at sumo stables.
Adding to that, we also have an a la carte menu,
alcoholic beverages, and course meals, too.
We are located close to Ryogoku Sumo Hall as well,
so feel free to stop by after a sumo match or during your trip.
